Visa Credit Card Cash Money, Currencies, Shopping, Sweden, Yen 2 Comments
I have a Visa card from Sweden. The currency is Crown. Can I cash my money in dollars or other currencies in other countries? What should I do for on line shopping? For example if the price is in dollar or yen or … how can I pay with crown?

You use your Visa card, and when Visa gets the transaction they will apply their own exchange rate from dollars into Kronen.
BTW, many visa companies also charge up to a 3% fee when you purchase in other countries – check to see if yours does. It’s a hefty fee. I know that Capital One does NOT charge, that’s the one I keep for my international purchases.

Visa will automatically charge you according to the current monetary exchange rates. You don’t have to do a thing. Just use your card as you would normally do in Sweden.
But if you’re talking about withdrawing money through a cash advance using your Visa card, you may want to check with the local bank in the destination country.
